Within the Old Testament are many predictions of end time Bible prophecies that line with either what Jesus predicted or what is foretold in the Revelation
. Often these provide further details helping to paint a more complete picture of what will occur. Micah 7 provides one of them. It adds description of the sin of the last days and highlights the deception that will take place of those who turn in their family members who do not take the Mark of the Beast. Micah
7 reads:
7 Woe is me!
For I am like those who gather summer fruits,
Like those who glean vintage grapes;
There is no cluster to eat
Of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires.
Fruit in the
Bible references righteous deeds that spring from the fruits of the
spirit. The reason there is no fruit is
as follows:
2 The
faithful man has perished from the earth,
And there is no one upright among men.
They all lie in wait for blood;
Every man hunts his brother with a net.
3 That they may successfully do evil
with both hands—
This matches what
Jesus predicts of the end times in the gospels that the days will match the
violence and wickedness of the days of Noah and Lot. We also see this passage backing up the
violence predicted in Revelation 6 of the second seal and second horseman of
the apocalypse, it reads in verse 4:
4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was
granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and thatpeopleshould kill one another; and there was
given to him a great sword.
The evil is
further elaborated on and lines with the book of Daniel, which tells us that
the “transgressors will have come to the fill” and also 2 Timothy 3: 1-6 that
in the last days perious times will come because of the evil and brutality of
men. It reads:
The prince asks for gifts,
The judge seeks a bribe,
And the great man utters his evil desire;
So they scheme together. 4 The best of them is like
a brier;
The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge;
In the next
section of the verse we see that because of this evil comes judgement and these
are the Revelation plagues:
The day of your watchman and your punishment comes;
Now shall be their perplexity.
During the
Tribulation Jesus warned or the betrayal of family members putting their family
members to death in the Antichrist’s police state and we see in the next
section further details in Micah, it reads:
5 Do not trust in a friend;
Do not put your confidence in a companion;
Guard the doors of your mouth
From her who lies in your bosom. 6 For son dishonors
father,
Daughter rises against her mother,
Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
A man’s enemies are the men of his own household. 7 Therefore I will
look to the Lord;
Jesus quoted from
Micah in Matthew 10:36, when he said that a man’s foes will be those of his own
household, and micah provides the intimate picture of a woman resting in the
arms of her husband, or a daughter in her father’s embrace and the betrayal to
death in the midst defying those bonds.
The final section
reads like out of the book of Psalms for the person suffering the betrayal.:
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me.
Finally, we see
the defeat of the believer’s enemy in those days:
8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy;
When I fall, I will arise;
When I sit in darkness,
The Lord will be a
light to me. 9 I will bear the
indignation of the Lord,
Because I have sinned against Him,
Until He pleads my case
And executes justice for me.
He will bring me forth to the light;
I will see His righteousness. 10 Then she
who is my enemy will see,
And shame will cover her who said to me,
“Where is the Lord your
God?”
My eyes will see her;
Now she will be trampled down
Like mud in the streets.
We know the end
of the story and it is not good for those who take the mark of the beast and
follow the Antichrist, they are defeated and judged and ultimately cast into
the Lake of Fire.
