When you observe nature, you will notice that in nature nothing goes to waste. The lion eats the gazelle and the vultures, dogs and insects eat what remains. Scientists call this the food chain. When a carcass dies the insects begin feeding on the bacteria immediately, they consume the meat. Even skin that an animal sheds while they are alive, mites will feed on. Big fish eat littler fish and little fish eat plankton.
Proverbs 6:6 talks about observing nature for its lesson. Proverbs 6:6 states: Go the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.

Water evaporates and then rains back down on the earth and there is no waste of water, it is continuously recycled in nature. So it is with our lives, nothing goes to waste. You may wonder why you have gone through a difficulty. What is its purpose? Maybe you took up one field of study and then changed your course. God will use everything in your life to teach you what he wants to teach you. Or He might call upon you to help someone else.
What complicates God’s plan for our lives is our free will. God gave us free will and the ability to reason and make decisions. Many times we do not make decisions that please God. We end up out of His will for our lives. Despite our mistakes, shortcomings and bad decisions God will use it all in our lives for the following purposes.
1. Draw us in a closer relationship with Him
2. Heal us
3. Perfect us-- Philippians 1:6 (For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.)
4. Prepare us to help someone else
Lead us in the direction he wants us to go --Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28 KJV).
If God attempts to work in your life and you yield to sin and do not yield to Him, God will use your mistakes to teach someone else. God gave us free will, which usually upsets His original plan for us, but no matter what we decide, or what we do, nothing goes to waste, not as a lesson in our lives or to benefit someone else.
